Showing off my ding-a-ling

I spent an hour yesterday ringing a bell for the Salvation Army and their annual red kettle fund drive.

They have done the bell ringing red kettle fund drive thing for many years. Although I've done many, many, many fundraising activities during the course of my 27 year media career, this is the first time I've participated in the bell ringing outside of a store.

I was at the Walmart at Speedway and Kolb. Many people were generous, and a few even recognized me. Or, at least they pretended to.

My partner in crime was Marty Bishop from 94.9 MIXfm. He's a really great guy and I've had the pleasure of working with him in the same building for nearly ten years.

I took a selfie photo holding the little bell I was ringing. It's not the size of the ding-a-ling, it's what you do with it that counts.
