A visit to Starbucks at Speedway and Wilmot

If you aren't familiar with Starbucks, it's a chain of coffee shops that I don't visit. I don't care for the taste of coffee, and it also gives me a pretty uncomfortable case of heartburn.

I went with a few co-workers to a client meeting at the Starbucks at Speedway Blvd and Wilmot Road on Friday after the show. I cringe every time I'm put into a position where I have to go to a Starbucks because they don't offer anything I would drink. Starbucks doesn't have soda (Diet Coke specifically) and everything I've ever tried from there that wasn't coffee based has given me raging diarrhea (Too much information I suppose).

The client wanted to sit outside. It's winter in Tucson, so even though it was sunny outside, it was barely 70 and kind of chilly. Plus, there was a diesel truck that was running near where we were sitting while the driver of the truck did some kind of service on the Starbucks sign on the outside of the building. Add in emergency vehicles with sirens going by occasionally and it wasn't the most fun I've ever had. I did have a pretty good cookie, that made up for some of the lack of enjoyment from the experience.

Fortunately, the meeting wasn't that lengthy and the taste of diesel didn't stay that long in my mouth.

I'm delicate, you know.

Taking a candid picture where
everyone has their eyes open
is overrated.

Here's Alex...
and the evil truck from

the Starbucks sign.
One of them put off a
pretty strong odor of diesel.
I'll let you guess which one.
