Where Did We Come From?

Sunday night = the weekly dinner and grocery shopping excursion night.  Payton is still staying with us so it was a three man journey to eat out and buy supplies for the week.

Dinner was at McDonald's at Speedway Blvd and Craycroft.  This is the same McDonald's that completed a renovation last summer and when Anthony and I ate there one night during a monsoon thunderstorm water was pouring in through the tops of the front windows.  It was dry outside today so there was little chance of that.

I have to give a shout out to employee Thomas (who will likely never read this, but still deserves one anyway) who took our order at the McDonald's front counter, pulled a coupon out of his wallet for their new Bacon Clubhouse sandwich (I got it with chicKEN, although you can order it as a burger), and I got it for free.  That was a really nice thing to do and kept dinner for the three of us under $20.  He was a genuinely nice guy.

We went to Walmart Neighborhood Market for some grocery shopping.  The shopping trip was fun.  But then, I'm excited to go anywhere.

This is one of the most attractive meals I've ever seen at a McDonald's.
And, the shiniest bun I've ever had.

Payton wraps his big mouth around a Big Mac.
The flowers are a nice touch on the table.

Anthony reads this French fry on a fork it's last rites
before eating it.

Walmart Neighborhood Market at 22nd and Craycroft.
There was a rack of used books at the front being sold to benefit a charity.
This was one of the books:  "Where Did We Come From?"
If you believe the illustration on the front, we came from a fire,
a boat, a tree, a building, and a rainbow.

Thanks Payton for the assist with this photo -- showing the proper
way to display a cucumber and turnips.

Post Great Grains Digestive Blend cereal
A perfect cereal to eat in the morning while sitting on the toilet.

Earth's Best Organic Fruit Yogurt Smoothie.
Payton kindly pointed out that it was weird that Cookie Monster
is on this package when it doesn't have any cookies in it.
(Sneaky Photo #1 of Anthony, at least part of him, on the right)

Cheez-In Grooves
It's like Cheez-It crackers decided to get abs.

Sneaky photos of Anthony #2.
In the place I get most sneaky photos of him -- in front of the ice cream.

Here's a really odd collection of magazines adjacent to each other on a rack at Walmart Market:
World Trade Center, the Pope, Black Heritage 2014, and Extraordinary Women of the Bible.

Restroom Needs Cleaning
I think this sign has been lit every time I've ever gone to this store.

Banana peel in the shopping cart corral in the parking lot.
Thanks to a keen eye I avoided the ol' slip on a banana peel and fall down trick.
