It turns out a Corvette convertible is only $62,000

I went to an off-site video shoot for the TV show today at O'Rielly Chevrolet here in Tucson.  During a few minutes of waiting (which happens frequently in television and video shoots), I took a look at a new Corvette convertible in the showroom.

That is a beautiful car.  It has a sticker price of $62,000.  Holy crap.

I remember when I was a kid and a really fancy car was less than ten grand (I couldn't afford it then either).  Then, I started working as a teenager and have discovered over the years that my salary has never increased faster than the cost of everything in the world.  My only remaining hope at this point to afford a $62,000 Corvette convertible is to win the lottery.  I haven't given up on that dream.... yet.  In the meantime, I'll take a picture of one.  That only cost me the gasoline to the dealership and back to work.

Cars like this were made for dorky looking people like me:  So we can get laid.

I tried talking that random guy in the salmon colored shorts to sit in the 'Vette.
He chickened out.
