Getting rid of the dead wood

I posted a few days ago about the dead tree next to my master bedroom balcony at the Ken Carr World Headquarters.

I got home from work a couple of days ago, and the tree was gone.  I'd like to think that someone in charge of cutting down dead trees at this complex reads my blog, but they probably had the work scheduled anyway.

The area looks eerily empty where it once stood.  I'm also sad because I know as the temperatures are starting to climb and summer gets closer my electric bill is going to be higher than previous summers because there is no shade now.  I try to keep it around 80-82 in here so it isn't hideously expensive but I can't put it any higher because it'll bake Lucky during the day while I'm at work.

Goodbye tree.  Not only did you house some birds while they gave birth to new birds, you were a shady friend.... the good kind of shady.

A photo I shot on April 3 while the tree next to my bedroom balcony was still standing

All that's left of the tree

I'm stumped!

The cut up tree out by the parking lot.
Someone was taking pieces and putting it into their truck to
build a campfire this weekend when they go camping.
At least it's going to good use... s'mores!
