My finger met a picture frame and the frame won

I've been fortunate over the years to sustain very few injuries.  I've never had stitches or a broken bone, for example.

I went to put a signed photo of Ben Vareen into a frame in my office today and somehow injured the end of my left ring finger.

It bled quite heavily for over an hour.  I decided that the injury was small enough that unless it seemed to cause me a bigger problem that I wasn't going to go to seek medical treatment for it.  That was just after 12 p.m.

It's now just after 5 p.m. and while the bleeding isn't what it was five hours ago, it still hasn't stopped entirely.  I've been wondering now if I should go to urgent care tonight after I get home from work.  I did get the workmen's comp form just in case.

I am hoping it just finally stops and once it does that the healing goes quickly.

Picture frames can be much more dangerous than they appear.  I'm living (bleeding) proof.

The finger that wouldn't stop bleeding.
It reminds me that I need to buy a new bottle of ketchup.
