Lucky takes a shot

I was waaaay overdue to take Lucky to get his rabies booster shot.

It's expensive to take animals to the vet.  Fortunately for my always empty wallet there is a less expensive alternative.  The Humane Society of Southern Arizona has vaccination clinics several days a week which cost nothing more than the vaccine.  In this case, getting Lucky his rabies shot was $13.

The only inconvenience is that I knew there were going to be a bunch of people, long wait, and the session that worked best with my schedule was Saturday morning at 7 a.m.  That's why I had stalled so long, I prefer to sleep in on Saturdays.

I went today, and even though we were number 15 in the waiting order, it was two hours before I walked out with Lucky.  He was restless but did about as well as he can do in that sort of environment.

I took a few photos with my iPhone, but it was difficult to get good photos with him not wanting to hold still so I could hold the phone steady.

It was like the DMV except everyone was pleasant to deal with.

They were doing the actual vaccinations behind that door on the left.
These four dogs in this photo went before Lucky.
