A woman talks to a dress and a dog reads a magazine

A couple of fun photos from today's TV show production:

I shot the first photo at a moment during a segment where it appears that the guest is having a conversation with a wedding dress. It seems plausible. Who hasn't chatted with a dress?

The second was of a dog from Pima Paws For Life that was waiting to get his few minutes on the show. He was in the green room sniffing around and I shot a photo of him appearing to inspect the reading material. He had as difficult of a time deciding what he liked as most humans do.

She may have been talking to the dress
but the dress didn't have anything to say.

I think he was disappointed I didn't
have a copy of "Cat Fancy".

Using my head

Two minutes to air on yesterday's TV show, and I had the urge to stick my giant creepy head into the camera shot.

I removed it before we were on. I may be goofy, but I'm not dumb.

Sticking my head into the shot.
I only had two minutes to remove it.

Creepy.
I think this is how murder mysteries
get started before they end up on Lifetime.

Paternity tests at clearance prices

Holy crap. What a week.

This past week was one of the weirdest ones I've had at my job in a long time. I can't tell you what happened because rules at work don't allow it and I'd like to stay employed. But, I can safely tell you some behind the scenes drama made it a weird five days.

As far as this weekend, Anthony and I spent yesterday afternoon in the 80+ degree weather attempting to do some yard work. We have both decided we're in no shape to do yard work but it's not in our budget to hire somebody. So, we're a couple of sore guys today. I'm going to be that old man out in the yard waving my rake at neighborhood kids yelling "get off my lawn" sooner than I'd like to admit.

This afternoon, I went to Reid Park in midtown Tucson and shot some photos of my friend Rene. She wanted to do a photo shoot in honor of her 50th birthday and we had a good time along with her mom in the beautiful weather creating some fun photos. Her mom also learned what a "duck face" is.

Tonight, it was a trip to the grocery store for Anthony and I at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at Broadway and Camino Seco. He ordered a pizza earlier in the day so we didn't have dinner together. Consequently, you don't get any restaurant photos today. I hope that you can deal with your grief.

I'm typing this and watching the Grammy Awards while finishing my laundry. I just saw Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney perform together during the show. Paul looked a bit out of place but the real surprise was finding out that Kanye can sing. Who knew.

Nut Thins
Sounds like a date I've had.

Red Velvet Pop Tarts
They'll turn any food into red velvet these days.
I'm waiting for red velvet pizza.

Someone left a clove of garlic
with the extra virgin olive oil.
Even weirder...
someone left these Valentine chocolates
with the canola oil.
Now THAT sounds like a date I've had.

This doesn't even need a caption.
Holy crap.

Is the baby yours?
You'll find out at this special low price

Sneaky photo of Anthony number one:
He's checking out the whey.
Now all he needs is curds.

Oh Anthony... I have something for you...
here's the One A Day women's over 50 vitamins.

Sneaky photo of Anthony number two:
He had a fifteen minute conversation with
this woman about how the wrong protein
supplement can make men's boobs grow larger.

Superbowl Sunday 2015

Superbowl Sunday has become almost a national holiday in America.

Anthony isn't into sports, so we end up doing other things besides watching the game when the Superbowl is on. It's become an annual tradition for us to go eat dinner and do grocery shopping when the game is on. It's a weekly tradition we do the same thing on Sundays, but since it's Superbowl Sunday, it falls under the category of annual tradition.

During the Superbowl this year, we ate at Pizza Studio, made a quick visit to Target so I could get a couple of items needed during tomorrow's TV show, and grocery shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 22nd and Craycroft. The streets were pretty deserted and crowds were light at both Pizza Studio and the grocery store.

We did arrive home in time to catch the last eight minutes of the football game. It was a dramatic finish, New England won. Anthony and I had a discussion about how much football players weigh, and I managed to offend him by guessing his weight incorrectly. He's never said how much he weighs so I have no idea. It's a good reminder that no matter who you're talking to, or how long you've known them, or have no devious intentions, you should lie lie lie and say you have no idea how much someone weighs. It's a trap.

The east end of the building where
Pizza Studio is located (Grant west of Tanque Verde),
there is a new Chipoltle location.

This Chipoltle apparently is "NOT quite open".
They still need practice.
(Sign said they open February 5)

Anthony's pie at Pizza Studio
apparently needs more cheese.

I'll bet these look the same going in

Little Debbie "Be My Valentine" cakes
Nothing says big spender like giving
these to the one you love.

Normally I chase Anthony around with a
stupid women's product to get a photo but
he wasn't cooperating today so I grabbed
a magazine instead.
I should have known I was in trouble
with the weight conversation later
based on the photo I shot at the store.

Noah better start building an ark

The winter of 2014-2015 continues to be unusual in Tucson.

We're in day three of a rain event that seems to on and on and on. I'm pretty tired of it, actually. I was hoping to do a little work in the yard this weekend but that has been pretty much out of the question due to the extremely wet conditions.

Lucky hasn't liked it much, either. It's been a lot of trips and patience outside to get him to poop. He's had one pooping accident in the house since we moved here and I have been very attentive to his digestive system since then so I don't have a repeat. Since the rain has started, I've kept an eye on the clock and take him out every four hours or so except when I'm at work. But, he keeps pooping right around midnight in very random places in the yard. There's nothing more miserable than going out into the yard after he's done with a flashlight in the pouring rain to pick up the doo doo.

Noah will have to start building an ark soon if this rain doesn't end. Or, maybe it'll work like that movie "Evan Almighty" (which was a pretty sucky movie) and some random guy will end up being told by God to build an ark. Either way, something has to be done soon. It's a little too wet for comfort in these parts.
