Monsters in a parking space

Many children are terrified of finding monsters under their bed.

I found Monsters in a parking space at Ridgepointe.  But, unlike the kind that are green and furry, these were two empty cans that someone couldn't seem to take to the dumpster.  Laziness isn't an attractive quality.

Roar.

It should be easy to find out who left these empty cans of Monster drink in this parking space.
They'll be the one who is talking a thousand miles an hour.

Happy Mother's Day

I got the chance today to get a gem of a photo.  The bird that has been carefully sitting on two eggs for weeks has two cute little bird children in her nest now.  I have been looking for the opportunity to get a photo of the three of them but she's either been gone looking for food for the kids or has been sitting on top of them and I couldn't get a clear shot.

That changed this afternoon when I was able to get the photo below.  Just in time for Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms... feathered ones, too.

Two bird children spend quality Mother's Day time with their bird mother.
They live in the tree by my apartment balcony.

One year anniversary of adopting Lucky

Today is the one year anniversary that Anthony and I adopted Lucky from the Humane Society.

It took weeks of talking Anthony into adopting a dog.  He finally caved.  It was worth the effort. We've both grown to really love the little guy.

He was a lucky choice for our household (his name makes sense in a lot of ways).  He has the right temperament for us and he has behaved like a gem from day one.

It's cute these days how he'll snuggle up next to me on the couch.  It's quite obvious that he's grown pretty attached to both of us.  When Anthony leaves for work, he goes looking for him.

The only thing we haven't liked:  He sheds.  It's a small price to pay.

Lucky, you're a good boy to have around.  Thanks for a great year!

He was so nervous at his new home that he didn't poop for 2 1/2 days.
He is obviously much more comfortable about pooping these days.
But, he has never liked a camera.

Donut Holes at Burger King

I went through the Burger King drive thru tonight and a sign caught my eye:  "Donut Holes".

If you have any interest in marketing, you're probably aware of one of the bigger marketing failures in history:  The Burger King "Where's Herb?" campaign.  Read the Wikipedia article about it by clicking here.

Burger King has had a habit over the years of introducing products that have nothing to do with their core menu of burgers and chicken sandwiches.  I think if you're hungry for donut holes, Burger King is one of the last places you'd think of.  But, I'm just a TV producer.  What the hell do I know?

They should put the donut holes on a bun with cheese.  Now THAT would be genius.

A smarter idea:  Onion ring holes.

Tucson Police visit Ridgepointe

I was heading to my car tonight for a Burger King run and spotted two police cruisers near my building at Ridgepointe.

I've heard police dispatches on the emergency scanner to this complex before.  They are usually for some sort of domestic squabble.  I think they were visiting the building to the south of the one I live in.

Can't we all just get along?

This Tucson Police car was parked in my neighbor Allison's space.
It's right front parking lights were burned out.
