What's brown and fits in your hand and your mouth?

What's brown and fits in your hand and your mouth?

If you said cheese curds from Culver's, then you answered this question differently than I would have.

Heather is happy to eat
cheese curds.
Really really happy.

Rainbow over Lucky Wishbone

Saturday was a pretty stormy day in the Tucson area.

The storms brought a pretty spectacular rainbow to the east side of town. I was in the Ken Carr car 2.0 (you know, the poomobile) driving south on Swan Road and got a couple of pretty good photos of it.

First photo of the rainbow looking east
from Swan Road and Speedway Blvd.
I kept driving because I wanted to
find the pot of gold at the end
of the rainbow.

Silly dog photos from the TV show

There are a lot of animals that appear on the TV show and this week was no exception.

I shot two photos of dogs that were a combination of cute and silly:

Flamin Hot Chicken Sub at eegees with Flamin Hot Cheetos

I was invited by Robert, the Marketing Director at eegee's, to get a preview taste of their new Flamin' Hot Chicken Sub sandwich. I'm a fan of eegee's sandwiches and fries so I immediately said yes.

But, since my sad little stomach doesn't handle spicy foods well, I asked my co-worker Tina to come along and be the taste tester while I shot photos and had a nice lunch with her and Robert.

The back story on the sandwich is pretty amazing. Each year, eegee's invents a fake eegee drink flavor for April Fool's Day. They seem to outdo themselves each year with this and April 1, 2015 was no exception. They posted on social media that their special limited time eegee drink flavor was Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Even though it was a joke, more than 1,100 people visited their stores in April hoping to get that flavor of eegee.

Fast forward to now, and they are rolling out the Flamin' Hot Chicken Sub sandwich with Flamin' Hot Cheetos right on the sandwich. The ingredients: Chicken breast, bacon, eegee's buffalo ranch, jalapeno cream cheese, and Flamin' Hot Cheetos. People love spicy food in this area so I'll bet it'll be a hit.

We met for lunch at the new eegee's Speedway and Pantano store and I shot photos of the experience.

The Flamin' Hot Chicken sub will be available starting August 1 at all of the eegee's locations.

Tina, who is pictured eating the sandwich, had this to say about the Flamin' Hot Chicken Sub:
"First you think.... is this sandwich going to scorch my mouth with all the jalapenos, buffalo sauce, AND Flamin Hot Cheetos? Well let me tell you... it is just the right amount of kick for a sandwich. I don't like food that is so hot you can't enjoy it. The cream cheese cuts the spice just right and I enjoyed it. Plus I love the crunch you get from the Cheetos. Nom nom nom.... that is for you, Robert!"
