Allstate Auto Sales offers free anal sex

I went bright and early this morning to do a photo shoot and on my way, I passed by Allstate Auto Sales and Leasing at Speedway Blvd. and Woodland.

I actually went around the block and pulled into the Wendy's parking lot next door to shoot a couple of pictures because someone during the night had altered the sign near the street.

This is the real unaltered photo, not Photoshopped (have to say that these days, it's easy to create stuff like this).  "Caution slow down free anal sex on right".

Cudos to the creative person(s) whose nearly harmless vandalism was pretty freakin' hilarious.

Holly and Tommy got married

Anthony and I attended the wedding of Holly and Tommy tonight at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch in Marana, in the northwest part of the Tucson metro tonight.

Thanks to the career path I've followed, I've attended many more weddings as an employee in my life (most of the ones I'm referring to I was the dj) than I have as a regular guest.  Either that, or I've been part of the wedding party.  I've always enjoyed going and bringing a camera with me to capture some fun photos.

The setting was at a horse ranch that they also rent out for events like weddings.  The weather was a bit warm and steamy but it's a lovely place and has a very horse ranch vibe (because it's a horse ranch).  There were even a couple of horses they put in a small pen out front to add extra ambience to the grounds as you entered.  You'll see that photo below.

Holly and Tommy are really fun people (I'm a co-worker of Holly's, that's how I know her) and the wedding was full of quirky and cool things that I'd never seen before.  For example, one of those moments was during the ceremony when instead of lighting unity candles like couples do during many weddings, they made themselves shots of liquor and did unity shots.  It was that sort of thing that made the evening interesting and fun as a wedding guest.

The entire online album of Kenparazzi photos can be seen by clicking this, but I did post a few highlights here:

@whatsuptucson fundraiser update

I've been trying to find the right word to label how I feel this week about the fundraising effort I made on behalf of @whatsuptucson, the Tucson focused information based Twitter account that I run.

Astonished, amazed, overwhelmed, blown away (ok, that's two words).  There are a few that I came up with.

I've worked on @whatsuptucson for the last five years.  It has grown into a massive time and resource consuming project.  I've paid for most of it's costs myself and donated the hundreds of hours of time it takes to manage it seven days a week throughout the year as it's continued to grow larger and larger.

I had this crazy idea (I thought it was crazy when I thought of it) to do a crowd sourcing style fundraiser to at least cover the data and internet related bills that I have.  I wasn't sure it was going to work or be successful, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try.  The worst that would happen is nothing, and I thought maybe it might have a shot.  Sometimes the world surprises me.

I set a goal of $1,200 - the math being $100 a month for the cell and internet bills that I spend.  Two weeks later, that goal was reached.  I was blown away.

The fabulous woman that manages the digital efforts at my work told me the other day that it is much more difficult to get a large following on Twitter than it is on Facebook.  The way the engagement works is different, and there are almost four times as many active Facebook users than there are Twitter users.  If I use that math, the 26,000 followers that @whatsuptucson currently has would be worth 100,000 or so Likes on a Facebook page.

The fact that over 40 people voted for the work that's done with their hard earned money to help out with @whatsuptucson is nothing short of amazing.  A couple of contributions were $200+ dollars (holy crap!).  This has made me feel like it makes a positive impact for a lot of people and the content that is distributed has demand.

I'm one little man that has done my best to put the work and effort in and hoped for success.  This little fundraiser has made me feel really good.  If you ever wonder if what you do makes a difference to somebody else, I'm living proof that it does.

I have never had a lot of money.  I drive a ten year old car, the newest shirt I own is a year old, I shop at Walmart because it's cheap, fancy dinners are usually at Taco Bell and Burger King, and I haven't taken a vacation since 2010.  I'm not trying to make you feel sorry for me (I do have a full time job in addition to running this Twitter), I just thought I'd share because this little fundraising project has made a gigantic impact and I'm really grateful.  Anthony keeps telling me "You've earned it".  I wouldn't give myself that much credit, I'm more excited that it has meant a lot to the people who follow this Twitter account and that has made all of the work worthwhile.

From the bottom of my goofy little heart, THANK YOU.

It has been suggested to me by a few people that I should continue to keep the page open in case anyone else wants to throw in a few bucks.  There's a point when I'll look greedy or just be flat out annoying, so I'm not going to Tweet about it anymore.  If you choose to add a contribution, I'd like it to be because you feel it's worth it and not because I'm begging for money.  I don't function that way.  Having said that, if you want to see the GoFundMe fundraising page, you can check it out here - http://www.gofundme.com/whatsuptucson

I now return you to the usual silly Kenparazzi photos and stupid stories on this blog.

A wet and wild monsoon

It's been a wet monsoon this year in southern Arizona.  Phoenix has had their share of heavy rain as well.  There was video on TV earlier this week of the I-17 freeway flooding in the Phoenix area and plenty of stranded motorists and dramatic swift water rescues.

This area had plenty of rain recently.  I was able to get some more photos of rain in the afternoon (and since I've also been working at night, a photo of that as well) and damage in one of the Morning Blend offices from a soaked suspended ceiling collapse.  I've even had a dripping air conditioner in my apartment.  Water water everywhere.

Monsoon will be over with in a couple of weeks.  Then, it'll be back to sunny mostly cloudless days.  We have it so rough here.

Even though that bicycle is sitting
underneath the satellite dish,
it's not escaping getting wet.

Plenty of puddling on the northeast
side of the KGUN building.

The ceiling in one of the Morning Blend offices
had a leak and this tile got so soaked
that it fell onto the floor.

It became abstract art.

a lot of leaks in recent years.

The squirter makes a daytime appearance

It's been another wall to wall work my ass off kind of week.  Working 12-14 hour days has created a challenge in posting as much on this blog as I like to.  Hopefully someone new will be hired soon who can get my workload back down to normal levels and allow me more time to do this blog.  I really enjoy working on it.

I have managed to shoot a few photos this week to share, I'm just slow to post.  I did post a couple of pictures a handful of days ago of a broken sprinkler at Ridgepointe that was shooting water three stories into the air.  I shot those photos at night, which made the dramatic look of it harder to see.  I was home early enough a couple of days ago that the sprinklers made their late afternoon cycle and I heard the sprinkler make the distinctive noise that it has been while being broken.  I grabbed a camera and got a few more for you to see how crazy looking it is shooting water.

It's a squirter, that's for sure.

At least this part of the building
should stay clean while it does this.
