Rainbow over Tucson August 16, 2011

I've taken rainbow photos before during monsoon season in Tucson but this one was unusual.

We had strong thunderstorms in the northwest part of the Tucson metro today about 20 miles on the other side of the city and this rainbow appeared east of the radio station in an area that really didn't have any rain.  I couldn't get a good shot of it through the studio window so I went out onto the roof of the radio/tv building to try and get the shot.

At the end of some rainbows is a pot of gold.  This rainbow appears in the photo that at its end is a satellite dish.

Shoes for School 2011

Mega 106.3 asks for new shoe donations for elementary school kids from needy families each summer.  The program is called Shoes for School.

Somewhere over the rainbow

I was at the Target store at Broadway and Craycroft in Tucson on Saturday afternoon August 6 and when I was leaving the store a pretty spectacular rainbow was off to the east.

Check it out!

The rainbow had a gap in the middle and I couldn't see the pot o' gold.

Seeing this rainbow made me hungry for a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal.

Anthony's a little shy
