Easter Sunday pizza pie

It's Easter Sunday. At my house, that meant yard work, giving Lucky a bath, waiting all day for Anthony to finish his laundry so I could do a load for myself, quickly discovering that a bunch of places were closed today because of the holiday, and our weekly trip to the grocery store.

We went to have dinner at Pizza Studio. It was the only place in the strip mall it's located in that was open at 6 p.m. when we went there. We were the only customers in the restaurant. But, I'm grateful they were open or I would have been a very hungry man. One of the many reasons I dislike holidays... too much stuff closes.

After a nice dinner (made by an employee named Felix and Anthony raving about what delicious pizzas he made), we headed to Walmart Market at 22nd and Craycroft for groceries. In a moment of horror, this is the second week they were out of iced honeybuns. That is what I like to have for breakfast: An iced honeybun and a Diet Coke. I need to find a reliable source for iced honeybuns. It doesn't feel like a day goes right if I have to have a glazed honeybun instead.

One amazing thing that happened this weekend: Anthony's Toyota RAV-4 sprung a leak a few days ago, and because his mom decided to get herself a new ride, he is now the proud owner of a lightly used Hyundai Elantra. It's a nice car, kind of a purplish blue. I'll shoot a photo of it tomorrow so we have it for posterity and I'll post it on this blog.

He has a habit of throwing used tissues, water bottles, and other rubbish on the floor of whatever he drives. I've teased him a little... saying I wonder how long it will take before I won't be able to see the floor. He swears he's going to be better about it. However, it has occurred to me that if he ever rolls the car, the tissues could end up being extra cushion. So, I'm considering it a safety feature.

Easter Sunday at Pizza Studio.
It is usually kind of busy, it
was weird eating there while
it was empty except for us.

My pizza:
Sausage, ham, bacon, mushrooms

Anthony's pizza:
Tomatoes, onions, some sort of
pesto drizzle that made it look
like it had a snot trail on it.

Walmart Market at 22nd and Craycroft:
Pepperidge Farm Mint Chocolate Brownie cookies
If I used a rolling pin on my poop,
it would look a lot like this.

Nestle Drumstick S'mores
This is the best idea they've ever had.
Besides the chocolate nub at the
bottom of the cone.

Eggo Thick and Fluffy waffles
They've named their waffles
after the size of those who eat them.
