Welcome to radio jail

When I worked in radio in the building that I work in now, I occupied a cubicle in the radio programming area.

After six years of that configuration, a decision was made to add some enclosed offices to the opposite wall where my cubicle was located. The manager types are going to feel even more important than they already do.

I shot a few photos of the workers assembling the offices. They are pre-fabricated and didn't require any knocking down walls, drywall work, hammering, sawing, etc. It took them about three days to put them together.

I find it amusing that they look like jail cells. They even have sliding doors like a jail but lack a toilet and sink in each office (cell).

If you build it, they will come. Whether they'll be let out on bail is a different matter.

No poo shampoo

Anthony's aunt JoAnn put her shampoo into the shower at my house while staying during the holidays. It caught my eye because I've never seen shampoo indicate it's lack of poo on the label.

My shampoo doesn't say that. But, it was cheap. It probably costs more to get poo free shampoo.

I'll have to save up for some of the fancy no-poo stuff.

JoAnn's No-Poo shampoo.
Use this and your hair will never look like shit.

The devil is in the Taco Bell drive thru

Anthony asked me to go to Taco Bell to get him a Crunchwrap after I hit the grocery store yesterday and in the drive thru I was behind a car with a rather ominous license plate.

666 is the sign of the devil
according to urban myth.
Apparently the devil drives a

and eats at Taco Bell

After Christmas sale shopping 2015

There have been very few times I've made it a point to go out the day after Christmas and hit after Christmas sales. I did this year and got some screaming deals.

Anthony, his aunt JoAnn, and I made our way to Kohl's at Broadway and Pantano. That store was a zoo and had racks and racks of items at clearance prices and plenty of customers shopping. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had the great idea of saving some money. Next, we headed to Park Place Mall to have dinner at Yard House, and we were going to do more shopping after dinner but my shopping companions were kind of pooped.

A note about Yard House: I tried the New York Steak Sandwich and the steak was too tough to be in a sandwich. I ended up eating a majority of it with a knife and fork. I should know better than to venture beyond a hamburger.

We walked through Sears at Park Place and this
nice guy named Rob showed us a how this purple
Shark vacuum works

Anthony has been trying to talk me into purchasing
a new vacuum for months even though our current
one still sucks.

Walking through Park Place

Making my way through the mall I spotted a guy who
had fallen asleep on a bench with his skateboard between
his legs. He was probably exhausted from
hitting after Christmas sales.

of it had already been eaten)
My New York Strip steak and

As usual, I gave the pickles to Anthony.

JoAnn ordered a salad

Anthony got chicken strips
(my pickles now on his plate)

After dinner, we walked back through Park Place
and I spotted these giant balls.
I thought they were pretty... and giant.

Christmas Day 2015

After a fun Christmas Eve of house guests, we were back at it for Christmas Day.

We were invited to Patty's (Anthony's mom) for Christmas brunch. The food was delicious and the company was fabulous, too.

After brunch, we made our way back home and Anthony's dad Paul paid us a visit. More gift unwrapping and fortunately, more eating of food. I was worried I wouldn't be able to eat all of the leftovers from Christmas Eve but everyone made a nice dent in what was still left. Anthony doesn't care much for leftovers so it's usually my responsibility to eat leftover food and I struggle to eat it fast enough before it spoils.

I'm posting this blog entry on Christmas night. It's quiet around our house now. Anthony's enjoying his new iPad, JoAnn has gone to her friend's house, and Lucky is wandering around the house somewhere with his new toy making it squeak.

It's supposed to be really cold the next few days in Tucson. It's a good thing Anthony got me warm new socks for Christmas. My feet are going to need the warm fluffiness.

Merry Christmas!

JoAnn bought Lucky a toy for Christmas

He was a little scared of it at first but once he found out
it had a squeaker inside he became very interested

He took it to the bathroom where he would make it squeak
and them whine in the same pitch as the squeaker.
Adorable.

I tried to get him to play fetch with the toy
but he went and got it when I tossed it down the hall
and then took it into the bathroom.
Fetch game over.

It's been a wonderful Christmas!
